Sometimes, unbelievably, sources we Trust will conspire together to intentionally twist or misrepresent what truly happened, in order to deceive or shape public opinion.
Because this happens, you need to be aware of it, so you can guard your mind — so *you* are not deceived.
- A clear example of this occurred during a 2017 visit to Japan by President Trump with Japan Prime Minister Abe. One video was taken of the Leaders feeding the koi fish, and this feed was given to all press / networks.
CNN & others edited the film to make Trump look like a buffoon by dumping his box of fish food in front of the Prime Minister. This is shown here:

Why would CNN do this? Presumably it is part of the negative coverage intended to make the President look like a buffoon. There may be evidence the President is “inept” … but not in Japan. Studies (by Pew Research & Media Research Center) show coverage of Mr. Trump on major broadcast networks was 91-95% negative. “Do the math, and viewers heard 150 times more negative comments about Trump than Biden. That’s not news reporting — that’s a negative advertising campaign in action,” the study said.
